The process: Dr. Inmaculada handcrafts, layer by layer, a high-end aesthetic resin directly onto your tooth. It’s like a miniature sculpture.

Advantages: They are performed in a single session, are more economical, and if they fracture over time, they can be easily repaired in the clinic.

Please note: Over the years they may lose some shine or become stained if you smoke or drink a lot of coffee (they require annual maintenance polishing).
Ceramic Veneers
It’s the “premium” treatment in cosmetic dentistry. If you’re looking for a result that will remain unchanged for 15 or 20 years, this is the option for you.

The process: They are manufactured in a high-precision prosthetic laboratory after a digital scan of your mouth.

Advantages: The material (lithium disilicate or feldspathic) perfectly mimics the translucency and shine of natural enamel. They never stain, not even with wine or tobacco, maintaining their white color for life.

Resistance: They are much harder than composite and offer superior aesthetics.
Does the tooth wear out a lot to put them in?
This is the most common fear. Thanks to new materials and adhesives, we now perform minimally invasive preparations. In many cases (especially with micro-veneers), we only need a superficial polishing of 0.3 mm (less than the thickness of a fingernail) to ensure adhesion. Your tooth remains healthy and strong underneath.
Can they fall or break when eating?
Veneers are bonded using a chemical cementation process that fuses them with the enamel. Once in place, they function as part of the tooth. You can eat normally, although, as a matter of common sense, we recommend not using your veneers as tools (opening plastic, biting into shellfish or hard shells), just as you would with your natural teeth.
Do they need special maintenance?
The same care you give your teeth: excellent hygiene, flossing, and your checkups in Vélez-Málaga. If you have composite veneers, we recommend an annual polish to restore their shine. If you grind your teeth (bruxism), it will be mandatory to wear a night guard to protect the veneers from pressure.
How long do they last?
Well-cared-for porcelain veneers can last 15-20 years in perfect aesthetic condition. Composite veneers typically require replacement or touch-ups after 5-7 years, depending on the patient’s habits.
Do I have to get veneers on all my teeth?
Not necessarily. At Acosta Cubero, we avoid artificial, “piano key” smiles. It all depends on your objective.

If you are looking for a radical change in color and shape: Ideally, you should treat the “aesthetic front” (the teeth that are visible when you smile, generally 6 to 10 upper teeth) to achieve perfect harmony.

If you only want to correct a single imperfection: We can place one or two veneers on specific teeth (for example, a dark or chipped one) and blend them seamlessly with the rest. In these cases, we usually combine this with prior whitening of the natural teeth to ensure a uniform and spectacular overall result.
